I have done the footwork for you and have visited a few of those pharmacy shops looking for the best makeup items for your bag! I’m not looking for them just to work well, but that they are also, the best for your wallets, “ca-ching.” 

Who wants or needs cheap,  inexpensive if you will, that’s trash?  Not I.  I’d cough up a few pennies to get the right stuff, you know, the stuff that works. 

I found a few items that are a must-have in your makeup bag.  They are  quick and inexpensive.  A great way to to look fresh on-the-go.  You’ll be ready in ”a minute” …ok maybe not, but pretty fast…

Halloween is here, for most of us this gives an excuse to pile on more makeup, than we normally do. Tis’ the season to pile it up and get crazy with it (“bwaaahahahaha”).

The Boom Boom Room

The Boom Boom Room is located at the top of the Standard Hotel 848 Washington St. @ W13th Street.  Meatpacking District, 212-645-4646

Cocktails may be overpriced…but when you are rubbing shoulders with some of hollywoods elites—eh, what’s an extra few bucks. They are brought directly to you—right to your table.  These days, if you’re going to go out, make it worth your while. 

Credit is being given to this club from all angles and the rave is sky-high. With a name like The Boom Boom Room, what do you expect?  Not since the 54 days have people been ranting and head over heels over a NYC spot. The club is on the 18th floor, the rooftop of the The Standard.  The carpets are golden-sparkling, glass floored terrace to have a nice view down the 18 stories and a glass floored bathroom, floor to ceiling windows with a view of the *gasping for air* NYC, (The city never gets tired-I have a love affair with this place.)   Lush design pairs of dark wood and gilded chairs with a white retro couches.

Health Kick-The Nutty Professor

Smoothies are the perfect on the go breakfasts.  Let’s face it, how many times are there the mornings where you just don’t have time to grab some energy food to get you through until lunch?  For many, the stomach is growling until 12:oopm,  you can’t concentrate and that cup of coffee just wont do. By the time your lunch hour rolls arounds, you’re famished and will eat anything in site.   Diet or healthy eating goes- OUT THE WINDOW.

This drink the Nutty Professor is great. It’s easy, fast, fulling and protein packed.

-1 Banana

-Tablespoon of Peanut Butter

-Ice Cubes

- Water or Soy Milk

-  If you have protein powder, add a scoop

NYC Club Greenhouse Getting Sued for Racial Profiling

NYC Nightclub Greenhouse is under a  lawsuit for “racial profiling.” 

Teri Woods, best-selling Author, was having a book signing party there and invited 100-guests.  The club would not allow admittance to her guests whom were black while, “white” guests were allowed entry.  The club was not packed inside and the guests were just left on the Varick Street sidewalk.  At the time of this, Ms. Woods tried to persuade the club to let her people in and her wishes were not granted. 

On outrage, Teri Woods is suing for 1 billion dollars on behalf of her guests.

Club owner, Barry Mullineaux claims that the allegations are, “bogus.”

It’s A Miracle

Too many late nights at the office, or out partying - or for some of us entrepreneurial ladies, just home working on the computer all night!  Got those raccoon eyes that just won’t quit no matter what concealer you use. 

I have tried concealers that cake in creases or end up looking very dry, ashy almost, ugh - most times you end up looking far worse than without it.

Well, I have found a miracle product.  I am the official beauty queen junkie, as a Makeup Artist, I am always out trying new products and looking for the absolute best thing.  Upon my search I found, Benefit’s Erase Paste.  This little pot is a miraculous discovery for all who suffer from  under eye circles.  My clients love it and everyone I recommend it to,  immediately falls in love too!  It comes in three shades…so there is one for everyone.

Trend Spot! Faux-Luxe

Are they paying some kind of tribute to our respected designers or just making plain fun?  When I say “they” I mean, juniors and participating designers.  

Innovative designers from t-shirt lines like 5Preview and Naco Paris are piggybacking the Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent images/logos.  A street trend emerging is that the “fakes” are cooler than the real thing.
