As an agency with experience in the entertainment industry, Imperial Marketing Group produces MBTM in an effort to educate and inspire students, recent graduates and those with an interest in pursuing a career in media and entertainment. They know the value of meeting and talking with an executive face-to-face as well as networking with like-minded individuals. Sponsored by PNC Radio, Inspired Collective, Monster Energy Drink, the National Museum of Hip Hop, YRB and Daria Fennell PR, the panel this year will discuss emerging trends in new media and technology, music publishing, and entertainment law, and give you an insider perspective on what it’s like to work in the entertainment business.

The wonderful panelists this year includes:

Peter Wells, Co-founder, Tunecore

Porfirio Pina, Director of Latin Music, BMI

Anthony Hernandez, YouTube | Campaign Planner, Google

Reggie Osse, Entertainment Lawyer/Author

And more to be announced!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A NEW QUEEN REIGNS SUPREME

Mallory Hagan Wins Miss Brooklyn 2010; Joelle Bracco is Brooklyn’s New Outstanding Teen

BROOKLYN, NY — March 30, 2010—There’s a new queen in the borough of Kings. On Sunday, March 28th, at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College, Mallory Hagan was crowned the Miss Brooklyn 2010 (www.missbrooklyn.org). A resident of Bedford Stuyvesant, Ms. Hagan, beat out a formidable field of 9 to take the crown and title in one of New York’s early preliminary pageants for Miss America.
When asked what impact she would like to leave as Miss Brooklyn, Mallory stated, “As Miss Brooklyn, I would prefer to leave a legacy of the Organization, not of myself. If I can convince one girl to be confident enough to become interested in (competing for) Miss New York and the wonderful attributes of Miss America, my legacy will be in my investment in this Organization.”

With a platform promoting the Dove: Campaign for Real Beauty Campaign, Ms. Hagan tap danced, sashayed and confidently interviewed her way to her new title which was passed on from outgoing queen, Keelie Sheridan of Sheepshead Bay.

Also crowned Sunday was Joelle Bracco, Brooklyn’s new Outstanding Teen. The “junior” division of Miss America, the Outstanding Teen competition promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America’s teens. Miss Bracco will continue the tradition by promoting her platform of promoting Diabetes Awareness throughout Brooklyn over the next year.

“We had some extraordinary talent this year, the most competitive for the Brooklyn Pageant this far,” says Amaris Acosta, Executive Director for Miss Brooklyn. “The strength of any organization is the ability to seek and attract new talent, and I am proud to say that over half of our contestants at Miss Brooklyn were first-time competitors.”
